Another character who you just have to accept is deeply floundering in obsession/love. Elana’s Surrender is a book that will certainly have readers turning the pages and enjoying every word contained in it.I had no interest in Indy when she appeared in Possession and I still have none after reading Regret. It has just the right amount of everything that makes an awesome book: action and mystery with plenty of twists that heightens the suspense and romance. Treachery lies, and secrets will surely have readers on the edge of their seats.

There are so many things happening in this book that adds to the series’ plot. The story is intensely fast-paced that brilliantly mixes dystopian and paranormal for one stunning and original book. Although they are so different from one another, Elana does a perfect job in weaving them efficiently to intensify its dystopian appeal. Readers are exposed to each character’s individual inner feelings and attitude. The character development is remarkably written well. The technological stuff and the unique abilities of the people are quite impressive. There is so much to discover and appreciate the complexity of this world. One of the most obvious features in Surrender is Elana’s writing abilities of making her amazing world come to life. The two point-of-views gives a deeper insight into this dystopian story. Vi and Jag make impressive reappearances but the story is told from the alternating perspectives of Raine and Gunner. Surrender is the second book in the Possession series by Elana Johnson.
